Thousands of doors

This weekend was much like many before, with a lot of knocking doors.  For nine months, I have personally knocked on thousands and thousands and thousands and thousands of doors.  It has been a lot of work, but it has been rewarding, and I believe it is imperative for a representative to make that effort.

All that hard work is soon to pay off.  We are now just eight days from victory!

Knocking

Had a great day of knocking on doors!  Now off to dinner with Rachel and George!

Nine Months

Enjoyed knocking on doors today.   We are now into the ninth month of knocking!

Knocking on Doors…

I’ve been knocking on doors for eight months now, and the last two long nights have been no different.   Thanks to all the great people I’ve visited with!

Lots of Knocking

Thanks to all the volunteers who canvassed neighborhoods for us today!

I finished knocking for the day about 9 p.m.  Talked to a lot of great people tonight.

Knocking

Had a great time knocking on doors tonight.   The yard signs continue to be a big hit!

Thank you to our volunteers!

After I knocked some doors, we had a bunch of volunteers over tonight.   Thank you so much to everyone!

Knocking doors in the heat

Just finished with two full days of knocking on doors.   Summer is unofficially here!

Knocking doors with Rachel and George

Our family

Our family

Just finished with three straight days of wall-to-wall door knocking.

Rachel and George were with me for most of it, which is always a great treat!

I continue to get a very favorable response.  I can tell that our friends and neighbors appreciate that we’re taking the time to personally visit their home.  I think they know that the work ethic you exhibit on the campaign trail is an indicator of how hard you will work on their behalf.

George Holt, Campaign Manager

Been knocking doors and calling voters the last three nights.

That doesn’t mean I don’t get my time in with George, however…

SWCU / Door Knocking

Last night, I attended the inauguration of Ed Huckeby, the new President of Southwestern Christian University in Bethany.

After that, got in some door knocking, and then a full day today.   I’m getting a great response as the campaign  continues its march!

Six month milestone

knockingJust finished another day of knocking on doors.

This represents the end of our sixth month on the doorsteps of the 30th Senate District!  Three more months to go!

Knocking

Had a great response on the doorsteps today.   Had a little rain today, which I’ve gotten pretty used to lately.   Just finished the day with dinner with George and Rachel.   Now to the Ford Center to Thunder Up!

100 Days to Victory, but First, Knocking Doors in the Rain

Today, we stand 100 days to victory.   What a great feeling!  But in the meantime, there is much work to do.  I spent the last two days knocking doors in the rain.   Is there anything better?

Me and mom

Me and mom

Had a full day of knocking today.   I believe set a new personal best!  And Rachel and George joined me for part of it.

Also, it was particularly special when someone pulled their car over to tell me they knew my mom and thought the world of her.   As I’ve knocked doors, I’ve had quite a few people take the time to tell me that, and I can’t tell you what that means to me.

Sunny Day

It was a much nicer day out today, and we hit A LOT of doors.

Ran into people I’ve known most of my life, as I often do.

It was especially nice to have Rachel and George with me!

Cold and Rainy Day

It was a cold and rainy day, but we still got out for a bunch of door knocking.

Putting the final touches on our fifth month on the door steps of the 30th District.

The primary is four months from today!

Snowy and cold weekend

It was an odd start to Spring in the 30th District, but it only kept us off the doorsteps for one day.   Saturday, I made phone calls instead.   Sunday, I was back knocking doors.   We continue to get a great response.

George enters politics

This one was special because Rachel and George joined me for the first time since little George was born.

Another month on the doorsteps of the 30th District

With a full afternoon on the doorsteps today, I just finished my fourth month of knocking on doors and meeting voters. I’m the only candidate in this race doing it, but I think it’s a vitally important part of being a good representative.

Beautiful Saturday

It was as beautiful a day outside as we’ve had in awhile.

Spent the morning at a board retreat for the Putnam City Schools Foundation. It’s a lot of fun to be involved with this school district I’ve known all my life.

Spent the afternoon knocking on doors. Ran into a lot of friends!

Foggy Day

A little cold and a little chilly, but still had a great day knocking doors…

Grass Roots

Rachel and I just finished a full day of knocking doors in the 30th district.  Meeting voters face to face is the only way to do it.   We really enjoyed visiting with old friends, and making new ones.   It was a lot of fun, and the weather was perfect.   Thanks to everyone for their hospitality and support.
